"In December, 2014, my nine-year-old granddaughter, Charlotte, showed me 'Winter Snow,' a poem
that she had written as a school assignment. I was taken by the text: by its imagery, rhythm, and
assonance. Charlotte gave me permission to set her words to music. I hope this piece does
